Meet the Owners

Bruce Baughman, President
Bruce provides leadership for Ultra Payroll Services, handles sales, and makes sure payroll taxes are filed correctly and on time. When needed, he also works on IT issues. In addition to working for UPS, he also runs Belmont Business Consultants, a Dayton bookkeeping firm.

He is a graduate of the University of Dayton and is IRS certified as an Enrolled Agent. In addition to working for Belmont Business Consultants and Ultra Payroll Services, his work history includes several years as Junior Accountant for a large, commercial HVAC company.

Bruce has worked with taxes and accounting since he was a child, starting by helping in his father’s bookkeeping business after school. Watching his father interact with customers and seeing how satisfying it was to take good care of them, instilled into Bruce a passion for customer service that continues to this day.

In fact, just like his father did, Bruce considers his clients part of the family. He’s available any time you need him. It’s not just a 9-5 relationship. His business philosophy is the Golden Rule.

Many accountants do not like payroll, but Bruce does. “It’s something new every day. New employees, changing laws… it’s always flowing.”

Outside of work, Bruce provides administrative help to the youth football league (he has a child on the East State Vikings team), has been a Cub Scout leader and enjoys bowling, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Tammy Baughman, Lead Processor
Tammy is the primary payroll processor for Ultra Payroll Services. She works closely with her husband, Bruce, to ensure accurate and timely payrolls and tax management for their clients.

Tammy has undergone extensive training in the use of CyberPay (their payroll bureau software product) and is an active member of the local American Payroll Association chapter.

She regularly attends seminars and conferences to stay abreast of the constant changes in regulations, laws and industry trends. For instance, she never misses the annual Ohio Wage & Hour seminar. All of this makes her a valuable and knowledgable resource for customers.

She is currently working on her Certified Payroll Professional credential.

Prior to working for UPS, Tammy held a variety of staff and management positions at retail businesses.

Like Bruce, she also volunteers to help out with youth football. She was a Girl Scout leader and is currently a member of the Blue Star Mothers, supporting her oldest son who serves in the Army.

Favorite activities include camping, bowling (she’s really into bowling!) and, of course, spending time with family and friends.
